I think it is high time that I blog this wedding from last summer and I can’t think of a more suitable day than today. It just snowed the other day – did you guys see that? Only for a few minutes – but enough to get me inspired to blog this wedding from the hottest day of the year in 2014… as a reminder to us all that we are heading towards lighter, brighter times and have something to look forward to 😉 .
This Sunny wedding from 6 months back in Kent, was an amazing day – a day that almost felt as if it had fallen out of a book of fairy tales. The imaginative – and almost a bit Charlie-and-the-chocolate-factory – “wonky” architecture of Hop Farm in Kent, stood as a backdrop to a day filled with fun… A day celebrated in style, surrounded by… are you ready for it… the Back to the future car Delorean, an owl flying in with the rings, large jumping pillows, a tree- swing dressed in flowers, and a reception in an interior of beautiful wooden beam, decked out with a theme of Harry Potter and fairytale…
Me and my assistant Michelle started at the bride’s house, to capture the fun of the bridesmaids getting ready. And we didn’t leave til everybody where rocking the dance floor… and the super hot day had turned into a thunderstorm evening.
Do you like the quirky focus with the blurred sides in this dress image? ↑ I know it almost looks “photoshopped” but it’s not! It’s created from my “tilt shift” lens, which is a lens that can be directed so that the focus runs through the image at a certain angle… pretty cool hey?
Thank you to Cecelina photography for capturing the groom preparations in the morning!
