Wedding at Old Whitgiftian association Cricket Club by Wedding photographer Surrey

This wedding day of a very happy couple in Surrey – and they where really happy, their smiles where shining through all day – was photographed together with my colleague Milda. While Milda was covering the bride’s morning at Juris Inn Hotel, I met with the groom at the reception venue… for an early morning sound check! That’s right, our groom was to be head of entertainment for the evening with his own band “Doodle bug”, which actually – when the groom isn’t occupied with getting married himself – plays at weddings.louise bjorling photographing doodle bug

And then a rush back to the house, for the groom to get ready with his family before the ceremony…

The ceremony was held at the very pretty Croydon Town Hall.
And the rain that had been pouring all morning, got replaced by the sun just in time!
Creating some lovely natural light for capturing Cris’ and Mark’s big moment..

A destination wedding in Toronto, Canada

I had the opportunity to leave a busy London behind and go to Toronto, Canada this summer, for some destination wedding photography! I photographed the wedding day of a lovely couple from Toronto. Loretta and Dave had an outdoor ceremony ceremony followed by a wedding breakfast in the very charming Old Mill Inn on the outskirts of Toronto – but first Loretta got ready in the old Mill’s beautiful dressing room, while a nervous Dave was greeting their guests in a private foyer…

I love how Loretta’s dress is totally home made! She really struggled to find a dress for pregnant women in her taste, and as she said:

A home made dress just feels so personal

I believe baby Declan just fired a little kick to wish his mum Good Luck!

The wether was so lovely – so that the wedding party decided to move the ceremony out from the allocated room, and in to the garden!

It almost felt like photographing a wedding in the jungle…. with the humidity hitting high

and a surrounding thick vegetation! Can you tell?;)

We couldn’t help our selves – Loretta and I fell in love with the Old mill. It was something so very authentic 1800s about it. We found ourselves feeling trapped in an old tobacco- stained looking movie. It didn’t take much convincing to get Dave to come with us for an explore and a newly wed’s portrait shoot, amongst the mansion’s endless quirky corridors and cinematic stairwells …

Dave whisks Loretta off to the tones that suddenly fills up the main hall… how’s that for a first dance!!

Here I will be able to keep clients – and who ever else is interested – up to date with my photography, without feeling the limitations of a set website.
