Contemporary wedding photography London – from Christchurch venue at Spitalfield Market – A city chic wedding with handmade details  – Vicky and Ross Part 2

Vicky and Ross had definitely found the perfect East London wedding venue. With a grand interior and surrounded by East London quirk – situated just next to a lot of London history and urban hot spots, it was a dream venue for a London wedding photographer. I was super excited to arrive at their wedding reception after shooting the first part of their day! And I was blown away by all the cute and quirky details and DIY. I love the gorgeous wild life scene center pieces designed by Vicky, together with the florist Muscari – Whites. Vicky also added her touch to the name tags, using tea staining and a birdcage stamp, and together with one of her bridesmaids, she created the thumb print tree. One of her friends had collected loads of little teacups from different stores and car booth sales. There was also a really cool theme stemming from Ross’ involvement in the music industry, with one of his ushers making the Vinyl record table names;). And his own mother designed the CD covers! It was a fantastic wedding reception to photograph with so much to capture and a fantastic mixture from different cultures….

Here is part two of the London wedding photography for Vicky and Ross – following on from the first part of their day… ( Islington Town Hall and an alleyway editorial portrait session in East London )

I loved the Christchurch opposite Spitalfield market as a wedding venue – 300 years old and so full of history, situated in such a historically interesting and presently buzzing area, just next to the famous old pub Ten Bells. (My friends would tell you that I just loooove places with some interesting history to it!)

After the first dance we hit this room upstairs, where the girls got in to traditional costumes for the African themed evening celebrations….

Wedding Photography East London – Islington Town Hall, Crown Plaza Hotel and Editorial wedding portrait session in Shoreditch – Vickie & Ross Part 1 ♥ ♥

Vicky and Ross. Straight away when I met them and they enthusiastically told me about their day over our cups of coffee, I knew that this was going to be a fantastic wedding to photograph…

Vicky had done loads and loads of research and had come up with so many ideas to add personal touches to their day. I absolutely adore her brooch bouquet that she designed and put together all by her self with brooches from second hand shops, and the shoulder detail that she added to her Morgan- Davies dress! For bridesmaids dresses they had gone with a traditional African material with a touch of DIY. And for the reception (in part 2), the couple had loads of lovely decorations that they realised together with help from friends and families. This is part 1 from their beautiful day, where Vicky had her preparations done at Shoreditch Crown Plaza, followed by a heartfelt ceremony and wedding photography in East London at Islington Town Hall. Their wedding portrait session started off in a North London park and ended in the curious little side streets of East London around the corner from Spitalfield market…

Wedding photography China Boulevard – a Chinese theme wedding banquet in London, with traditional tea ceremony – Selina & Terence Part 2 ♥♥

After their wedding ceremony at Wandsworth Town Hall and portrait session in Wandsworth park in part 1, we headed for a traditional Chinese wedding banquet at China Boulevard on the River, just next to the Themes in London. And how lucky where we – within minutes of the wedding party sitting down for some snacks, the skies open for some serious torrential rain… so glad that it didn’t happen an hour earlier!

I have been lucky to do wedding photography at China Boulevard a few times now and I love the opportunity to play around with compositions with all their colourful backdrops and actually, it’s like photographing a new wedding each time – China Boulevard tends to reinvent itself with new decor details quite often.

Here it is, part 2 of Terence and Selina’s day. A proper traditional Chinese style wedding celebration – including the traditional tea service with all the well wishes from one family at a time, the Chinese traditional banquet with it’s (very many very yummy) courses of amazing food, to be followed by the “Cheers moment”, when the guests at each table at a time, do a “cheers” together with the wedding party. Followed by some serious rocking on the dance floor. 😉

Congratulations Selina and Terence!
