Day 2 Capucine and Channa – wedding photography of a Catholic wedding celebration in Hertfordshire

On their “second wedding day”, Capucine and Channa united in a catholic ceremony, in the absolutely stunning All Saints Pastoral Centre near St Albans in Hertfordshire. (I must admit that I nearly shed a tear when I found out that this probably was the last wedding to be held at the All Saints Pastoral Centre, since it is about to close.)

With such a gorgeous church, the couple decided to lay the emphasis on having photography for their ceremony – and I tiptoed around and all over, to get some nice shots from lots of angles, in an attempt to justify this beautiful location :).

After the ceremony – spoilt as they where with having two wedding days and a personal portrait session conducted on day one, Capucine and Channa focused on having family and group portraits on day two, while their guests where entertaining them selves with champagne bubbles…. and soup- bubbles… We

wedding at Oshwal centre in Potters bar – Hindu wedding photographer London – Day 1 Capucine and Channa.

The best thing for multi cultural couples must be the chance to celebrate your marriage with two different weddings! On day one, Capucine married her Sri Lankan/English man Channa with a colourful Hindu ceremony to honour his family roots. And it was an extra exciting day for me as well – since this was my first Hindu wedding to photograph! 🙂 And I’ve gotta admit that I have a weak spot for ceremonies that are really close to nature – it’s just very cute and down to earth somehow.

It was a first for me to photograph a wedding at the Oshwal centre in Potters bar, Hertfordshire – and I loved the area. Lots of great spots for portraits with the temple, wild forests and a pretty garden as backdrops.

I met with Capucine in one of the Oshwal centre’s basement rooms in the morning, where she was getting ready together with her family that had just arrived from France…

In the meanwhile upstairs, the families where greeted by a welcome ceremony, followed by a ceremony between Channa and the bride’s brother. You could be forgiven for thinking that it is the boys marrying each other, as they are exchanging garlands and rings, but this is a ceremony where the bride’s brother welcome the groom as a “new brother” to their family.

Isn’t she just sooo pretty…?

I’m currently editing an Indian – American Muslim wedding which I shot recently. And I just can’t help myself. There is a fair bit of editing to do yet – but in the meanwhile, I just had to post one shot of the bride – because I am so mesmerized by how beautiful she looks, dressed up in her Indian traditional stunning wedding dress and her jewellery…. Can’t wait til tomorrow, when I will be editing the couple’s portraits – her groom looks equally as stunning. Like they both just fell of the front cover of Asiana fashion magazine 🙂

(Funny enough, and totally coincidental, her sister in this shot occasionally works as a stylist for The Asiana – You can’t be better off than that for your wedding day, can you!)
