Wedding photographer Smithfield and Clerkenwell
Beautiful, romantic wedding at St Barts in Smithfield… and I was honored to be the one photographing it! After a “get together” with the bride and bridesmaids at Hotel Malmaison in Clerkenwell, we headed for the beautifully atmospheric, and candle lit ceremony in St Bartholomew the great church – a hidden gem in Smithfield. St Barts is absolutely gorgeous and really suitable for a Christmas wedding – I can understand why it has featured in so many movies… and why there is an entrance fee to see it when it’s open for tourists!
What made me really glad with St Barts – after having photographed at St Pauls cathedral where the rules for wedding photography are very strict – is how accommodating the vicars are of this parish. There where no rules against photography at all, other than to not be an obstruction to the ceremony. (And who wants to be an obstruction?!)
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed some tasty french cuisine at their cute and Christmas- decorated reception venue, Le saint Julienne nearby.
