A Pre wedding shoot where a romantic Lee Valley meets East London…
Oh boy was this day worth waiting for.
After re- scheduling Ross and Vicky’s pre- wedding portrait session a good couple of times – yes of course because of the weather – we finally decided to just go for it, since we can’t be bossing the weather. 😉
We arrived at Lee Valley in East London just in time for the rain to make it’s big entry. But then… suddenly. The clouds moved along and the skies opened up for the most beautiful light ever – a photographer’s dream of a beautiful warm, setting sun just appeared in front of us. And it was almost impossible to stop photographing these beautiful people at a beautiful location in a beautiful light…
But we did realize eventually that we couldn’t go on forever ;). And we headed for our second location: Some spectacular, cinematic locations that Vicky and Ross had scouted out in EC London. It’s one of the best things about shooting location portraits – all the amazing locations that are around us, just waiting to be discovered! I love it when couples have scouted out their own locations and introduce me to them. I never even knew that Lee Valley existed before – it was the same euphoria as when someone first took me to Richmond Park.
Here’s Vicky and Ross. On a proper summer’s evening. Not too far from the middle of London…
Looking forward to capturing your big day guys!

Vicky and Ross the photos are beautiful and full of your feelings for each other. (Love is Honest).
The scenery reveals it’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place, less to do with the things you see and all to do with the imagination.
To Louise B, I say ‘Thank you for shooting what it feels like and not shooting what it looks like’
