A Valentines wedding with a guided tour around City of London…
Finally, finally. I’ve really been looking forward to post the story from this lovely London winter wedding. Patrick and Verena got married on the Valentine weekend last year, but I haven’t had the chance to fully blog it. Straight after shooting this wedding, I heard from the Your London wedding Magazine that they would love to feature it for their Christmas issue at the end of 2014 (!) A real honor of course, so of courtesy to the magazine I refrained from blogging it.
And now it has recently been featured, and it’s Valentine’s again! So I thought a little post from this beautiful, sunny Valentines wedding, would be the perfect way of wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s.
Verena and Patrick got married at Wandsworth Town hall, which was followed by a little surprise treat for all their international guests… A double decker bus tour around London. An actual tour, completed with tour guide, stops and a London quiz!
But first I met with them at their house. They had decided to go for a less traditional start of the day – with getting ready together in the morning, and entering their ceremony hand in hand.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I found a quirky, abandoned mirror in their backyard – what a perfect backdrop for the detail shots…
Wow, I just realised something quite funny about this image ↓ When scrolling down slowly, it actually look as if the London Eye in the background is moving. 😉
Once the couple and their guests had challenged the February cold enough for one day, we headed for their reception at the beautiful Victorian The Rose Pub on Southbank. Verena and Patrick had gone for the cutest theme for their day – a homemade theme around boots, since that had a connection to their married surname!
Have a lovely Valentines weekend folks!
