Remember this fantastic wedding celebration? A multicultural 2 day wedding – Day 1 featuring a Hindu ceremony and day 2, a catholic ceremony followed by a western cocktail party. Last week, I had the great pleasure to see their first day featured on the Beyond Beyond wedding blog!

Who would believe that this wedding photography is from eh…. North London? Don’t we all think that it looks like totally shot somewhere in India? Nope, the Oshwal Centre hosting this lovely venue and an actual temple, is situated on the green slopes of Potters bar.

Want to see some more from this colour- sparkling wedding, that I photographed in London / Hertfordshire? Just follow the links! Day 1 The Hindu celebrations and Day 2 The catholic/western celebrations

Central London wedding photography – with groom preparations!

I’ve teamed up with photographer Cecelina again! We met in 2011 when I was on the outlook for a second photographer for a three- day wedding. Soon I joined “The Starbucks club”, with her and photographer Charlotte – meaning we occasionally take up space together on our laptops in Starbucks, drinking too many coffees and eating too many marshmallow twistles. (Ok I’m the one eating too many marshmallow twistles)

And now I’ve had the chance to work with Cec again, on this beautiful British – themed wedding at the grand halls of Honourable Artillery company, with an absolutely beautiful, totally in love couple.

Jihaa it said inside of me when Cecelina asked me to join her for half the day, with me covering the groom’s preparations in the morning: It just doesn’t so often happen that you get to photograph the blokes in the morning – unless you are two photographers. Or unless bride and groom are getting ready in the same place.

The ceremony was held at the Notre Dame the France church in Leicester Square, and after that thier guests where invited to an atmospheric reception ant the HAC – Honourable Artillery Company (or Royal Artillery Armoury House) in Old Street. Here are a few of my shots from their day…

After the morning preparations with the groom and his mates in South London, we headed for Notre Dame de France church in Leicester Square – a great area lending itself for photography, next to the arty little Prince Charles Cinema and bordering China Town…

The bride arriving from the morning preparations shoot with Cecelina, looking absolutely stunning – I loved the flower detail on the side of her dress. Notre Dame de France church is absolutely massive and offered plenty of possibilities for two neat little photographers to tiptoe around and capture images from lots of angles.

The reception was held at the grand halls of HAC – Honourable Artillery Company (or Royal Artillery Armoury House) in Old Street. Their London themed details fitted right in with the beautiful oak panels and Georgian interiors…

Murder on the dance floor – Feature in Your London Wedding magazine ♣ Congratulations Lucy & Joe! ♣

It was like opening a late Christmas present, when opening latest issue of Your London Wedding magazine. It’s just really nice to see one of your weddings printed as a feature.:)

I looooved shooting Lucy and Joe’s wedding – there’s just so much to capture when there is a theme involved. And how about an Agatha Christie theme for a wedding – with the reception venue just around the corner from Poirot’s head quarters?

It was an absolute treat to be selected to shoot a wedding with such a special theme!

Their whole day had so much to it – a beautiful “getting – ready – location” for Lucy and her bridesmaids, gorgeous modern church – St Peters in Notting Hill – the perfect reception venue which totally has the vibe of an old English, slightly Noir filmed movie – or an Agatha Christie episode (The Distillers), and lots of decor details bringing out their Agatha Christie theme. And Lucy and Joe are such great people so I’m really pleased that Your London Wedding magazine decided to choose their wedding for a feature!

Lucy’s interview was a really great read as well – with some good tips for other wedding couples. And what advice could be better than to just Relax and throw an excellent party ? Your wedding day can be such a stressful occasion – imagine – all the planning, finding the right suppliers, and then on the day: Worrying about whether everybody is having a good time, what can go wrong and are the rings where they should be… So I agree, just stay relaxed. If you are one of those people loosing sleep over your forthcoming wedding just “do a Lucy” – Focus and throw an excellent party!

The feature of Lucy and Joe’s Agatha Christie themed wedding is in the latest issue ( Jan- Feb 2013 ) of Your London wedding Magazine.
