Emily & Jon’s London City wedding – Full day wedding photography Smithfield
Two lovely people got married this summer in the heart of City of London – with all their well chosen locations just a stone throw from one and other. What a day they had… Starting with a small get together at a hotel in the morning, followed by a ceremony at the absolutely gorgeous St Barts, and a reception with amazing food at Haberdashers Hall, ending with total party on the dance floor… Thank you Emily and Jonathan for letting me capture your day!
I love the bow on the back of Emily’s dress, it’s just such a cute detail!
I loooove St Barts (Or Saint Bartholomews the Great). It’s so full of history and I just have to share how it came to be: A pilgrim in the 1100s had a vision while he was in Rome, of Saint Bartholomews telling him to return to Smithfield in London and build this church together with a hospital for the poor… And so he did! That’s quite a story I think. And it resulted in quite a church.
Yes, it was one of those summer days where the rain finally won… after an whole day of drizzle, it decided to turn into a full downpour – just in time for the couple’s portrait session. But we didn’t let that stop us, we managed to get some shots against backdrops under the roof of Haberdashers Hall…
Congratulations Emily and Jon!
